Tournaments
ATA tournaments offer students the opportunity to showcase their skills, gain competitive experience, and connect with the broader martial arts community.

Competitors are grouped based on age, rank, and gender to ensure fair competition. Divisions typically include:

-
Tiny Tigers: Designed for younger children, usually ranging from four to six years old, with some seven and eight-year-olds participating with instructor permission. In this age group, the children have an opportunity to experience tournament layout and competition in a low-pressure environment. The judges interact professionally yet playfully and supportively with the students and everyone gets an award.
-
Color Belts: This group incorporates kids and adults who hold colored belts below black belt rank. Competition groups are organized by age.
-
Black Belts: Black belt groups are divided by degree and age category.

Mr. Rambert will inform families of upcoming tournaments as they arise and provide guidance on preparation and registration. Staying informed about upcoming events and specific requirements is essential for a successful tournament experience.

While ATA tournaments take place all over the United States, opportunities for local tournaments in our region (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and other neighboring states) are limited and typically take place two to three times per year.
