Tiny Tigers Taekwondo
Small but mighty: ages 2 to 6
Tigers Student Oath: I promise, to be a good person, with knowledge in my mind, honesty in my heart, strength in my body, and to make good friends. And become a blackbelt leader sir/ma'am!
This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. The program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value systems.
The rank and testing system used by the Tigers is slightly different than that of the Karate for Kids. Tigers can earn six collectable animal patches to display on their belts as follows: The Tiger for orange belts, the Cheetah for yellow belts, the Lion for camo belts, the Eagle for green belts, the Phoenix for purple belts, and the Dragon for blue belts. Upon graduation from the Tiny Tigers program into the Karate for Kids program (generally when they turn 7), they receive a Karate for Kids patch.
Karate for Kids
Ages 7 to 15
Student Oath, Class Start: I will practice in the spirit of Taekwondo. With courtesy to fellow students, loyalty to my instructors, and respect for my juniors and seniors sir/ma'am!
Student Oath, Class Close: I shall live in the perseverance of Taekwondo. Having honesty with others, integrity within myself, and self control of my actions sir/ma'am!

The Karate for Kids system of Taekwondo is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks of the system are goal setting, self-control, courtesy, integrity, friendship, confidence, self-awareness, self-esteem, perseverance, self-improvement, respect, and dedication.
Karate for kids recognizes that each student possesses different physical abilities and that size and strength vary for each child. Once they are given the basics and a strong foundation, the program works to enhance physical capabilities and maximize dynamic kicking and hand techniques, allowing each child to progress quickly and confidently towards their personal goals.
The ultimate goal is to instill two concepts: positive mental attitude and high goal setting. Students are encouraged to serve as role models for younger students, teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership, and good values.

Special Programs for Karate Kids

A Karate Kid who has received their camo belt is eligible for Black Belt Club. Advanced Karate Kids (red belt or higher) may also be eligible for leadership, as determined by the instructor.

Taekwondo for Adults
Ages 16+
We train our students to the best of their ability. Some students come to us in shape, while others have health or weight concerns. Most come to us with limited flexibility. Adults can start at any age, as we have some adults who started at age 65 and earned their blackbelts. As a student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else.
